Was president of Montgomery Improvement Association
founded the Southern Conference on Transportation and Non-violent Integration which dealt with segregation in transportation facilities and voter registration.
Fought against Jim crow laws
Delivered the I have a Dream speech
Recieved Noble Peace Prize on December 10, 1964
King was assasinated on April 4, 1968
